1. Pre-Installation Requirements
1.1 Site Preparation
Customers are responsible for preparing the installation site before our team arrives. This includes:
Ensuring easy access to all windows to be treated.
Clearing furniture, decor, or obstructions near the windows.
Informing our team of any structural issues or defects in the windows beforehand.
Failure to prepare the site adequately may result in delays or additional charges.
1.2 Scheduling
Appointments for installation must be scheduled in advance. We will confirm the date and time of your appointment. Any changes or cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled time to avoid cancellation fees.
2. Installation Process
2.1 Professional Standards
Our team adheres to professional standards during installation, ensuring:
Proper cleaning and preparation of window surfaces.
Accurate application of window films to minimize imperfections.
Use of tools and techniques that meet industry standards.
2.2 Access and Safety
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the installation site.
For higher windows or unique architectural designs, additional equipment (e.g., ladders, scaffolding) may be required and charged separately.
If hazardous conditions are present, our team reserves the right to postpone the installation until the issues are resolved.
2.3 Installation Time
The time required for installation varies depending on the number and size of windows, film type, and site conditions. We will provide an estimated completion time before beginning work.
3. Post-Installation Guidelines
3.1 Curing Time
After installation, the film may require up to 30 days to fully cure and adhere to the glass.
During this period, minor bubbles or hazy appearances may occur but will typically disappear as the film settles.
3.2 Cleaning and Maintenance
Do not clean the windows for at least 30 days post-installation.
Use a soft cloth or sponge and non-abrasive, ammonia-free cleaning solutions for maintenance.
3.3 Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect the installation upon completion. Any concerns must be reported within 7 days to ensure prompt resolution.
4. Rescheduling and Cancellation
4.1 Rescheduling
Customers may reschedule appointments without penalty if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.
Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a fee.
4.2 Cancellation
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund.
Same-day cancellations may incur a cancellation fee to cover the costs of lost time and preparation.
5. Limitations and Exclusions
5.1 Structural Issues
We are not responsible for issues caused by:
Pre-existing structural defects in windows or frames.
Windows with cracks, chips, or other damage prior to installation.
5.2 Weather Conditions
Installation may be delayed due to adverse weather conditions (e.g., rain, extreme temperatures) to ensure the quality of the film application.
6. Warranty and Liability
All installations are covered by the warranty terms outlined in our Warranty Policy. However, Tints and Films LTD is not liable for damages caused by:
Customer negligence or misuse.
Improper cleaning methods post-installation.
